Is anybody willing to part with one of their LU for a COR member wishing to be a little more competive.

Hey Keith, call Kevin at the prop shop. He may have something for you, or a gearset to put in yours, or maybe just some prop help. We run a 1.87:1. A lot of times, if you get the prop right, you don't need to change gear ratios. 702-564-7502.

Hey Keith Thanks for the info. Spoke to Mike Q yesturday and was able to pry some more info from him. Going check the basics first, Compression, Elect, Fuel. I was running a 22p Mazco Sun @6000 rmps somethings off.

We had a loose coil ground and that kept me to 6000 or so in a few races this past weekend.

I spoke with James my engine builder, he told me those old coils develope cracks in the magnets and wont fire right under a load or at high RPMS. I'm going to check the wiring first and then change all the coils out with a newer set off a blown 2.5 just to be safe. Keith B.

Check the switch boxes. I have found one of those to bad far more often than a coil. Most likely one of the switch boxes went out and killed spark to a cylinder. One box provides spark to cylinders 2/4/6 and the other to cylinders 1/3/5.

Thanks JJ. I purchase to new switch boxes ( can't remeber the brand but their blue in color) when I received the engine. My dad and I check for spark in all six holes in Copperopilis by grounding the spark plugs. All showed spark. I'm hoping the boxes are good, even better would be just a loose wire. I realize I need to do better quality control before and between races. I just wanted to give Mike Q a one cyclinder advantage LOL. Still had fun on 5. Thanks for the much need help. Keith B.

Like he needs another cylinder advantage! LOL. I was giving it most of the weekend too. Blue sounds like Rapair stuff.

Those are CDI boxes (formerly Rapair) as Keith said. Any of the electrical components could be breaking down at higher RPM. Unless you ordered the CDI race electrical their recommend RPM range on the production stuff is only around 6000. Having dealt with the CDI products before I honestly couldn't recommend them to anybody.

Hey JJ. Just got home from a bunch of days at work and had a chance to look at my switch boxes. They are CDI Quickstrike Pro series. Going to spend some time today trying isolate my issue or issues so that I can try to put some pressure on the lead pack. Keith B.

Rod if you read this I need to speak with. Thanks

They are the CDI racing switchboxes.

I think the #5 GMT boat was running wing plates but it appears to be sold.
