L.A. Boat Show

I will be putting the #128 GMT in the boat show. I will be there Wed. for drop off and to hang out. I am only able to come Sunday and maybe Friday half day. So if any one else can fill in, please do. See Mike Qs email for info.

We are confirmed for the 2015 LA Boat Show to be held at the L.A. Convention Center South Exhibit Hall on February 19-22, 2015. It is looking to be a promising event as the show is more sold out then in previous years. Here is the link for the show: http://www.losangelesboatshow.com

For 2015 we will be back in the lower South Lobby on the carpeted area, as we were in 2012 and 2014 (Please see attached map). This provides us to meet show attendees before the enter the paid show. It also provides an opportunity for the region, classes, or clubs to hold meetings.

CONFIRMED
We have around 7 to 8 boats confirmed including a few CORs (#128), SE (#45). Superstock (#80), GNs (#227, #27), a 1.0 Liter Hydro, and a Jet Ski.

Marlee Hill will be running the floor activities as in past years.

I STILL WANT MY BOAT IN THE SHOW
If you still would like your boat in the 2015 show, and if you have not yet confirmed, please reply to me with your boat(s), number, class, and length. We have plenty of room as the show organizer opened up the floor to us.

I WANT TO ATTEND/WORK THE BOAT SHOW
If you would like to attend and work the show or organize a meeting during the show hours, you can obtain your free pass on the third floor show office, above the South Lobby, anytime during show hours.

I WANT TO ADD ANOTHER BOAT OR RACER
If you would like to invite an other boat or racers to participate, simple forward this email and have them follow the same process. We still have room for up to 15 boats and for displays.

HOW DO I MOVE IN?
Your move in will be on Wednesday Feb. 18, 2015 anytime after 10am and before 8pm (9:30 pm at the latest). If you need to drop off later in the evening, between 8pm and 9pm, make sure you see security and they can assist. Boats are to be dropped off around back of the convention center at the South Truck Dock (see attached South Truck Dock map for boat drop-off location) or if they allow, bring it around the front of the building and we can bring them in ourselves.

ELECTRIC
We will have an electrical drop (but need extensions) in our area and we are approved to bring tables, televisions, and video players.

SHOW TICKETS
Tickets will be located in the main NMMA West office on the third floor above the South Hall Lobby.

FUN STUFF
We need volunteers to bring show displays, videos, stickers, race, schedules, tables, and give-a-ways. We also need someone with an Instagram, Twitter and Facebook account to take live pictures during the show and tweet them out. Who can help? Please let me know.

Please note since we are not "a paying display" we are not suppose to be selling stuff.

Myself, Dave and Tm Caranza spent most of Saturday at the LA boatshow. There was a lot of interest in the $300,000 price range boats. The new 400 HP "inline" 6 by Mercury was on display but not much action down on the "race" floor. Only 2 boats "showed". The very nice COR boat of Greg Ronkainen and an impressive "blown" inboard. Don't know if it would have done any good, but a COR sign with phone numbers may have guided an interested person to our leader. We did get a picture of our promo team in action. Hopefully it will pass muster and make the web site. JMO
